I desperately wanted to try a new food in a new place… and I visited…
Los Pollos Rotisserie & Cuban Bakery
It turned out… AWESOME!!
I stopped by during a weekday lunch time. It’s a tiny shop but all the tables were taken! Filled with patrons!
What I liked about the place was the food, the customer service, and the background music!!
So it was my first visit and tried 2pcs Chicken. It comes with two small side dishes and a tortilla (or salad?) and a drink.
For the drink you get to choose what you like from the fridge. I picked a latin-looking canned pineapple flavored drink made in Florida.
I wonder if that person was Cubano… his customer service was authentic. He asked me from which Asian country I am from, and if I speak Spanish 🙂
I also ordered a beef potato ball from the bakery section, but the guy forgot to pass me so he kindly gave me a strudel too! I felt bad but well… I will come back and try different food next time.
And.. the music. Originally when I entered their shop there was no music, but then they turned on and it was SALSA….!
Started with Periodico de ayer by Hector Lavoe, the classic salsa tune. Then Enrique Iglesias’s raegetton, then Marc Anthony. Puertorican Salsa in a Cuban store lol
So…. if you happen to go Southbay of San Diego, or miss Cuban food, then I highly recommend this tiny gem.
