I went to Oscar D’Leon concert. It’s my 2nd time since April 2011.
The venue is a latin bar that Spanish would be the official language. I am the only Asian there.
My good Ecuadorian couple friend Patty and Andres came with me. We bought the tickets at one of the local stores so we can save Ticketmaster’s service fee of $15. That’s huge!
We waited, waited and waited.
You know they started around 11pm last time. Then this time was 12:15am. Salsa concerts start just sooooo late at night!!!
I love this salsa-like opening. And then straight to his signature song Llorara.
Since my old phone had limited storage space, I switched to FB live. It was my first FB live lol
Can you feel how the venue is heated up? People are super excited!! He was singing lots of covers as well as his own songs.
He sang some songs on Cali, a salsa capital in Colombia… those songs brought my good memories while I stayed there… (I spent Christmas in Colombia, Bogota and Cali to be exact, in 2010)
I met my friend Alondra back in 2010 right at this venue, and she invited me to Cali. That’s how my trip to Colombia came to reality.
Alondra re-married and moved to Florida. She just delivered a baby boy. So Cali is a special place for me and somewhere I would love to visit one more time.
I have more videos but it just take time to upload on YouTube. I will first go ahead and post this blog.
